Bernadette is committed to providing therapy that is supportive, goal-directed and effective.
Bernadette is a registered Clinical Psychologist (Registration No.0069732), a member of the Australian Psychological Society (APS, Membership No. 034478) and a member of the Clinical College of the APS. She was first registered as a Psychologist in 2002 and has completed postgraduate training in a range of scientifically supported therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). She has experience in various hospital and community settings, including specialist services for eating disorders.
Dr Bernadette Bywater also provides supervision for therapists and consultation to other professionals.
Bernadette offers treatment for a range of adult issues including the following:
- Anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Health Anxiety
- Depression, Post Natal Depression, low mood
- Eating Disorders including Bulimia Nervosa, Anorexia and Binge eating

In addition to these areas, Bernadette provides support for people seeking to lose weight. Recent research suggests that cognitive behavioural therapy is an important contributor to successful long term weight management for people who have been overweight. Bernadette combines skills in cognitive behavioural therapy, specialist experience in eating issues and a ten year history as a fitness leader to help people with their weight related goals.

Ms Angela Dangas
Registered Psychologist
Angela is a fully registered Psychologist with the N.S.W Psychologists Registration Board (Registration No.0093640) and is currently completing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She has been trained primarily in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy but has training and experience in a range of scientifically supported therapies. She has worked with adults and adolescents in both private and hospital settings, including specialist services for eating disorders. She has experience in individual and group treatment. Angela provides therapy based on an individualised treatment plan and in accordance with the client’s treatment goals. She provides therapy which is supportive, non-judgmental and active.
Angela has experience working with a variety of psychological disorders and emotional difficulties and offers treatment in the following:
- Anxiety Disorders including: Generalised Anxiety Disorder, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder and Social Anxiety
- Depression including Post Natal Depression

Ms Clare Rankin
Registered Psychologist
Clare is a fully registered Psychologist with the N.S.W Psychologists Registration Board (Registration No. 0099776) and is currently completing a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. She has been trained as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and also has experience and training in other scientifically supported therapies. Clare has worked with adults, children, and families in both private and community-based treatment settings. She has experience implementing both individual and group therapy. Clare provides therapy based on an individualised treatment plan and in accordance with the client’s treatment goals. Her approach is collaborative, active, and supportive.
Clare has experience working with a variety of emotional and behavioural difficulties, including a range of psychological disorders. She offers treatment for the following:
